DUMME JUNGS (Techno Changed My Life / Berlin, Germany)
DUMME JUNGS – Too loud! Too wild!! Too stupid!!!
“Losing it at night – black and blue in the morning” –that’s the mission statement of Berlin techno duo DUMME JUNGS aka David Bwoooi and Senior Carlos.
Having made a name for themselves in the scene by organizing illegal raves in the weirdest, most wasted locations such as furniture store basements or old car repair shops, DUMME JUNGS have turned their attention to making music themselves. And they want it loud! Rough! In yer face! Typical DUMME JUNGS, the stupid kids at the back of the class, the ones your mother didn’t want you going anywhere near.
But as is so often the case, if the grown-ups think it’s bad for you – your mates are going to love it that much more. So it’s no surprise that DUMME JUNGS have made so many new friends so quickly. Collaborations with and remixes for the likes of Steve Aoki, LMFAO & Lil’ Jon, Jan Delay, Die Atzen, Kool Savas, Zpyz, F.O.O.L. and Sick Boy came thick and fast.
Last summer DUMME JUNGS released their debut single, EPIC, on the globally renowned techno label ‘OH MY GOD IT’S TECHNO MUSIC’ which brought them a lot of reputation. Not just clubgoers en masse, but top DJs such as Larry T, Cyberpunkers, Stereoheroes, Modek, Aerotronic and Dirty Disco Youth have all embraced their EPIC sound. Since then, DUMME JUNGS have become the first artists to sign up to TECHNO CHANGED MY LIFE for future projects.
MOULLINEX (Gomma, Lisabon, Portugal)
If there is an underlying trait in all good music, it must be its ability to crush boundaries between genres, dancefloors and couches, twelve inches and YouTube clips. Enter Moullinex, Lisbon and Munich-based Luis Clara Gomes. Originally from a small countryside town in Portugal, he was surrounded by music and musicians during childhood and since an early age has been solely dedicated to the pursuit of eclecticism throughout his work, refusing to adhere to a specific genre or scene and forever be tagged with a dated aesthetic. That being said, if there is a common quality between his productions, it must be the careful craft of melodies, strong degree of human touch in machine-based music, melodramatic catharsis of unpretentious keyboards, desperate guitars, striking basslines, and beats reminiscing from a not so distant dancefloor past. Luis often collaborates with friends - in fact, most of the electric bass you’ll hear in his productions is responsability of renaissance man Luis Calçada (yes, another Luis), and the guitars are crafted by Bruno Cardoso, a man also known as Xinobi.
While Luis has seen his work has received the acclaim of his peers, press and fans worldwide, he managed to find time to co-found the Discotexas imprint, together with Xinobi and Rockets, now responsible a flawless release catalog, along with a residency in one of the most sought-after clubs in Europe - Lux, Lisbon.
If you think this is too much, wait: there’s more: the music videos for Moullinex are responsability of Luis Clara Gomes and Luis Calçada. They have been praised everywhere, for use of ground-breaking technology and creativity.

THE SEXINVADERS (Pink-Pong / Berlin)
Not every electronic act has got to have a mission. “Free the world from whack music” – often heard in various biographies but this thought or something like that never crossed the minds of the two Berlin guys. “Everyone shall decide on their own which music on the Ipod or in the club attains ones happiness”. So the two Berliner dudes started five years ago without any idea of a mission, just willing to have fun. And that’s what you can watch while they are on stage. Positive tensions characterize their dj-sets. From wicked electro tunes via techno to house - everything finds its place in the action. “The main thing is that it’s grooving”. That seems to click/ catch on : Metropolises like Barcelona, Turin, Istanbul and Bangkok are on top of the tour plan. Even if they can’t show up in person, you can listen to their music played by others. Radio FM4 Vienna, Flux FM Berlin und BBC Radio1 London trust in their mixes or tracks and fellows like Malente, Mr. Flash or Kissy Sell out play their tracks on their sets.
TOMMIE KEESTON (Onion Records / Venice, Italy)
